When tragedy strikes in Colorado, we’re here to help.

The Colorado Healing Fund (CHF) is a nonprofit organization that provides immediate and long-term financial support to victims, survivors, families, and communities impacted by mass tragedies across our state.  We work alongside trusted local partners to ensure donations are distributed efficiently, transparently, and compassionately.

Built on Trust. Committed to Healing.

  • 100% of victim-directed donations go to those in need.
  • Transparent fund distribution and reporting.
  • Guided by a board of experienced leaders – including experts in law enforcement, victim advocacy, and community response.

Trusted Resources

Colorado Healing Fund partners with a network of vetted agencies and state authorities to ensure that every resource we share is reliable, secure, and tailored to the needs of victims and donors alike. In the aftermath of a tragedy, well-intentioned individuals often turn to social media–driven fundraisers or ad-hoc campaigns that, without proper oversight, can expose families to scams and fraud. By directing people to established victim assistance organizations, verified donation platforms, and the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, we help survivors access professional support while safeguarding donor contributions.

These trusted resources not only connect victims with critical services—such as counseling, legal advocacy, and emergency financial aid—but also provide clear guidance on how to verify the legitimacy of charitable campaigns. Our goal is to create a single, authoritative hub where Coloradans can find help quickly, confidently give to those in need, and learn how to spot and report fraudulent activity.

  • Victim Assistance Agencies: Local, statewide, and national organizations (law enforcement and nonprofit) that provide direct services to victims.
  • Giving Directly to Victims: Tips on verifying social-media fundraisers and links to CheckTheCharity.com for nonprofit validation.
  • Preventing Charity Fraud: Resources from the Colorado Attorney General’s Office on safe giving practices and reporting suspicious campaigns.
